I saw these at the lefty store.... but I dont get it....how can a knife be left handed?

Fri, April 22, 2005 - 10:52 PMit is the way the blade is sharpened...it is usually only designed to cut one way...you don't get a straight cut and a sharp cut if you hold a right handed knife. most cheapies are right hand designed. Henkel Knives are designed for both handed folk. i would imagine that just like lefthanded scissors, it would be keener to use!

Wed, April 27, 2005 - 12:18 AMwell, if you think about it, you can sharpen an edge several different ways. one way is by making the edge a right triangle. that right triangle can have the point on either side, so there would be a difference between a right and a left handed knife. though... there are many other possibilities for the edge i suppose.
